Starbucks cut DEI, rolled back sustainability goals, violated labor laws more than any company in US history, invested big money on union-busting instead of their employees & that's just the tip of the iceberg. BOYCOTT STARBUCKS until workers get the fair contract they deserve!

Oracle has been trucking in tankers of CNG to its data centre near Salt Lake City for over a year. That's X4 the cost of piped gas because connections haven't been made. Don't believe that data centres will "run on renewables" - they often run on the boondoggle of carbon offsets to be "neutral".

Just one fresh example why pretty much everything TypeSafe and their people say should have a community note. Here their CTO seemingly first equates all benchmarking to benchmaxxing and then blames Microsoft for not giving their scores while they earlier apparently tried to forbid publishing those.

  9. Did you know that companies already use your cell phone data to track your movements and use that data to decide where they expand their footprint. Way before Flock but Flock is much worse. We need protection from companies using our data and invading our privacy

Search looks through the last 36 hours of public posts for your words, "exact phrases", #hashtags, @handles and websites, and also finds posts about the same thing by meaning. New posts join about every 10 minutes. We only include posts whose authors allow logged-out viewing (Bluesky) or search (Mastodon, indexable accounts), and we re-check Bluesky authors each time we show a page. Likes and follower counts never decide the order. For meaning matches, query text is turned into a fingerprint on Wildroot’s own server (EmbeddingGemma-300M); it is never sent to another service. Wildroot does not save query text to disk. Looking for posts like one you have? Similar posts. How to opt out.
