I was debugging a slow router & asked Claudio and it's casually like, "oh, that's just a bug in Linux: they wrote = instead of |= in one of the cases, let's work around it..." And I'm like, "whoa, that's trashy. Can't we upstream a fix?" It's like: "yeah, sure" Now I have to learn that process 😅

It took a little longer than I expected... The Taze Adam II Demo is (finally) out! It includes levels 1-3 and, you can play it now on Windows, Mac, Linux and Web! (though audio looping is broken on the web version for now) spacechuck.itch.io/taze-adam-ii #gamedev #indiedev

Reinstalled csp using an alt method because it was a pain with bottles. And my goodness, and nearly all of the issues I was having in bottles are not present. Highly recommend using this way to install csp if you plan on moving over to linux, which you should anyways. youtu.be/iYhEm32Lr4Y?...

  6. I came up with a VERY ORIGINAL model (😘) to import as a mod for Mario Kart 8 a few weeks ago, but I've been stuck at the importing part to the modding tool for this because developers for these programs are still commonly ditching Linux as of today, despite the current state of Windows

For the past few weeks, on my Linux box the mouse pointer had been occasionally freezing for a few tens of seconds. Then it happened more often. I was about to search the web and go into troubleshooting mode when it dawned on me: just replace the battery of the wireless mouse. It worked, of course. The mouse was running for so long off that cell that I forgot it's a wireless device with a battery. Doh. #ComputerMouse

  8. Adobe is so fucked. This is on Linux. Natively. It's rough (goes without saying) but it's already very usable for simple tasks. It's interesting to see how hard Adobe will try to destroy this, but clean room reimplementation IS legal so this will be interesting to see where it goes.

i'm really unsure about the frame. i want to like it. i just can't see anything beyond the price tag. the experience on linux is, bluntly, bad. the battery is shit. it doesn't charge with any of my off-the-shelf laptop chargers. the controllers aren't the most comfortable.

Search looks through the last 36 hours of public posts for your words, "exact phrases", #hashtags, @handles and websites, and also finds posts about the same thing by meaning. New posts join about every 10 minutes. We only include posts whose authors allow logged-out viewing (Bluesky) or search (Mastodon, indexable accounts), and we re-check Bluesky authors each time we show a page. Likes and follower counts never decide the order. For meaning matches, query text is turned into a fingerprint on Wildroot’s own server (EmbeddingGemma-300M); it is never sent to another service. Wildroot does not save query text to disk. Looking for posts like one you have? Similar posts. How to opt out.
