"We are a conscious observer trying to make sense of everything. But our cognition is limited and skewed, the process riddled with blind spots and biases – systematic errors in thinking formed out of the process of evolution, which always cares about survival and the ability to act but does not always care about accuracy and truth." -The Terrible Paradox of Self-Awareness by Robert Pantano #Books #Reading #Bookstodon

I said I liked it. I didn’t say it was good. Post yours!
Game 41: Zelda 2 - Adventure of Link Why did I subject myself to Zelda 2 again? Because this time, I wanted to finish the game legit with save states. No Gamesharking. I wanted to truly engage with the game's systems, and see the evolution of a series I never got to play as a child. (1/n)
people, especially americans, need to stop confusing #VIOLENCE with #POWER. power is the ability to contain violence and to get things done without it. power is in cooperation, not in destruction and alienation. this isn’t hippy dippy shit. it’s a fact of human evolution. that’s why fascism is the political discourse of abusers. sadists make violence their whole personality. take the ability to abuse away from sociopaths, narcissists, machiavellians and what do they have? nothing.

Maybe I am thinking of a different fangame or one of the updates removed it, but looks like I am unable to look at the pokedex tab thing that gives you BST, moves, and most important to me right now: evolution requirements. As in it's not even there. Just started a #pokemonrejuvenation NG+ and am being extremely dumb by doing a monoflying run. Wanna know when something in my team evolves and now I need to go somewhere else to see it. I really liked how another fangame ( Pokemon Copper ) had that pokedex tab thing because it is a really good QOL, IMO. Especially for games where there are basi
One under-discussed aspect of the vibecession is how interest rates for credit cards, autos, and mortgages all jumped in 2022 with the Fed hikes then never came back down. It's hardly a surprise consumers get bad vibes from that.

it is one of the great mysteries of my life that i somehow evolved from a pathologically shy teenager into an actually pretty social and friendly adult 🤔
Search looks through the last 36 hours of public posts for your words, "exact phrases", #hashtags, @handles and websites, and also finds posts about the same thing by meaning. New posts join about every 10 minutes. We only include posts whose authors allow logged-out viewing (Bluesky) or search (Mastodon, indexable accounts), and we re-check Bluesky authors each time we show a page. Likes and follower counts never decide the order. For meaning matches, query text is turned into a fingerprint on Wildroot’s own server (EmbeddingGemma-300M); it is never sent to another service. Wildroot does not save query text to disk. Looking for posts like one you have? Similar posts. How to opt out.
