I made a thing! github.com/cuu508/minismtpd I took the now-discontinued smtpd module from Python 3.11 standard library, and got it running again. My goal is to use it in Healthchecks, so I stripped away all the stuff I will not be needing there. The current result is a very minimal but working SMTP listener in ~400 lines of code. Plus ~500 lines of tests.

So cool that people are using AI to open nonsense CVEs so that open source maintainers who are already strapped for time, often working for free (as day jobs get harder to find) can also deal with this garbage. Very smart, nothing will go wrong. github.com/micromatch/b... github.com/alexei/sprin...

I'm not a Figma user, but would like to give a shout out to the Figma team. I administer GitHub Enterprise for our organization, and just received a request from the GitHub Figma integration for LESS permissive access. This is incredibly rare and a testament to their team being responsible.

Search looks through the last 36 hours of public posts for your words, "exact phrases", #hashtags, @handles and websites, and also finds posts about the same thing by meaning. New posts join about every 10 minutes. We only include posts whose authors allow logged-out viewing (Bluesky) or search (Mastodon, indexable accounts), and we re-check Bluesky authors each time we show a page. Likes and follower counts never decide the order. For meaning matches, query text is turned into a fingerprint on Wildroot’s own server (EmbeddingGemma-300M); it is never sent to another service. Wildroot does not save query text to disk. Looking for posts like one you have? Similar posts. How to opt out.
