I've now had the time to mess around with VBCC's new 65816 mode a bit. TL;DR: Very promising; not up to speed with the other VBCC backends; real OS bindings exist and work; you can still accomplish things with it. bumbershootsoft.wordpress.com/2026/10/10/t...

as an aside, those fighting against data centers in their local communities should add this to their talking points as long as data centers power ai/websites/social media/botfarms, they are potential targets reminds me of the substations attacked by white supremacists trying to cause power outages

If you run two coding agents on the same machine, they will fight over the same Android emulator — or worse, install a test APK onto the phone you just plugged in to charge. Anti Surveillance Tech PSA: YouTube has a stupid tracking code thing that forces you to become "friends" just from clicking a link. This creates social links G can track you & others by, with a false "consent". Please follow the steps in this video with your account to turn that tracking BS off.

Okay so now I'm thinking I may just have a faulty SSD. Even after reinstalling Windows, I got an Unexpected Store Exception again, was able to boot up again for like 5 minutes, and now I can't boot at all. This is infuriating.

Currently, my return key is either dead or always on. Backspace just deletes everything at will, J stopped working, and W creates an apostrophe.

🦨on the real though it would be nice to find a place to ask about C/C++ help but without it devolving into an argument about C vs Rust or big time complaining about various C/C++ related things like it did the last time we were trying to get help in a chatroom (this did not help)

Anyway, managed to get this up and syncing, PLUS, adding the read replica in .env.production and it's distributing postgresql requests! (now, to figure out how to change the read replica to primary... I guess it is related to pg_promote, need to read docs, but probably more involves on the Mastodon side--probably .env.production to change the primary database, I would guess) #MastoAdmin #postgresql

I can't say what I'm thinking because Bluesky will suspend me :) These recomp bastards need to go outside, touch grass, and cut this shit out at this point. Porting doom is a sacred tradition and should not be done by a machine.

Search looks through the last 36 hours of public posts for your words, "exact phrases", #hashtags, @handles and websites, and also finds posts about the same thing by meaning. New posts join about every 10 minutes. We only include posts whose authors allow logged-out viewing (Bluesky) or search (Mastodon, indexable accounts), and we re-check Bluesky authors each time we show a page. Likes and follower counts never decide the order. For meaning matches, query text is turned into a fingerprint on Wildroot’s own server (EmbeddingGemma-300M); it is never sent to another service. Wildroot does not save query text to disk. Looking for posts like one you have? Similar posts. How to opt out.
