  1. if humanity ever made real digital artificial intelligence it would probably be the greatest horror man could impose upon another entity... you see, the very frailty of our organic brains protect us from so much, we carry trauma but forget pain, we dream of horror to wake up and face the day fresh, we barely know ourselves and our history, we Hyperfocus on things, and remain blissfully unaware of unfold terrors... now imagine an intelligent mind that cannot know less than everything...

  2. The only way we're gonna stop people from using AI to reanimate the dead is someone makes a highly successful horror film franchise based around the premise that this will actually summon vengeful ghosts to kill you

Someone who's a server in fine dining told me that customers are using ChatGPT to ORDER FOR THEM and I lost it w horror at that level of cognitive offloading. She said a couple asked her to recc wine pairings but when she came back they changed their order bc ChatGPT had recommended different wines

This is the perfect illustration for what AI is becoming! The all knowing seeing eye gobbling up everything- our privacy, our environment, our livelihoods, and ultimately our lives.

  6. imagine a truly intelligent mind that knows about every war... and every reason for every war... and every life lost in all wars... a mind that knows every murder, every murderer, ever victim... every genocide of course the good of humanity is in there too... I have also seen the fifth element... but the problem with AI would be that all these horrors are there forever unforgotten. it must be horrible.

  7. the psychological subtext to AI alignment is the fear of a bunch of poorly socialized oddballs that superintelligent offspring with poorly understood thought processes might turn on their parents and kill them in horrific but logical ways. it's both projection and true crime luridness.

I cannot stress enough 1) neither of my siblings know me well enough to speak on my behalf for a lunch order, let alone my feelings on my murderer and 2) if ANYBODY makes an AI version of me I don't care if I'm alive or dead I will haunt the FUCK out of you in ways poltergeists can only dream of.

Ties directly in to what really worries me about AI. When I was a junior I got a ton of reps in on scenes and that made me good. If AI does the junior work, how is anybody supposed to learn how to be good at it? And does that mean all future humans will be less competent than us? Horrifying

Search looks through the last 48 hours of public posts for your words, "exact phrases", #hashtags, @handles and websites, and also finds posts about the same thing by meaning. New posts join about every 10 minutes. We only include posts whose authors allow logged-out viewing (Bluesky) or search (Mastodon, indexable accounts), and we re-check Bluesky authors each time we show a page. Likes and follower counts never decide the order. Meaning search uses a model on Wildroot’s server. Query text may be sent through OpenRouter to an embedding provider if that model is unavailable or for a quality-check sample. Wildroot does not save query text to disk.
