When you write code, you understand it. When you understand it, you find the gaps in the specification. When you specify those gaps, you build understanding among the stakeholders. You can’t shortcut any of this unless you want a big blob of liability.

Interesting
as a slight tangent, i've been seeing a new form of ai boosterism in tech recently, and it broadly goes like this: "of course while you're learning to develop software, you should do so manually cos learning is important, only switch to agentic bullshit when you start to do it professionally"

Grady Booch is right: as agents write more of the code, human-led architecture matters more, not less. The scarce resource was never keystrokes - it is judgment about what to build. The Judgment Compiler: #coding #dev https://seldondance.substack.com/p/the-judgment-compiler

AI allows you to be "productive" by offloading the thinking to someone else (and it's not the LLM), part 1.

Multi-agent systems fail quietly. All 3 sample questions in this Claude Architect scenario show no broken subagent. Incomplete report? Check the coordinator's decomposition first. datascienceinaction.substack.com/p/ccar-f-par...

You know what? Hot Take? I hate AI with a passion but......due to recent events if it can be used by the people to screw these corpos in the process I am all for it. THEN these companies will start to complain and ask for regulation on AI because they are losing money hahahahaha

It’s pretty damn simple
Search looks through the last 36 hours of public posts for your words, "exact phrases", #hashtags, @handles and websites, and also finds posts about the same thing by meaning. New posts join about every 10 minutes. We only include posts whose authors allow logged-out viewing (Bluesky) or search (Mastodon, indexable accounts), and we re-check Bluesky authors each time we show a page. Likes and follower counts never decide the order. For meaning matches, query text is turned into a fingerprint on Wildroot’s own server (EmbeddingGemma-300M); it is never sent to another service. Wildroot does not save query text to disk. Looking for posts like one you have? Similar posts. How to opt out.
